A faithful re-edition of the original designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1975, this timeless design returns in 2025 with all its expressive power, celebrating cabinetmaking craftsmanship and the noble material par excellence: solid Canaletto walnut.

With a slender vertical frame and a curved seat upholstered in leather or fabric, Africa stands out for its perfect balance of form and function. But it is the backrest that makes this creation unique: it reveals the intricacies of the handwork in roughing and sanding, from which delicate veining and color nuances emerge, achieved thanks to the dark threading between the layers.

The wide central slit in the back legs is not only a distinctive aesthetic sign, but also a functional element, giving flexibility and comfort to the structure, while evoking a totemic, sculptural presence.
